WES Grants

The Early Achievers Grant can help employed child care providers, and early learning educators complete certificates and degrees in Early Childhood Education (ECE). Eligible students may receive help with required tuition, school fees and books.

The Basic Food Employment & Training (BFET) Grant is a partnership between Highline College and the Department of Social Health Services (DSHS) to provide funding assistance for education and support services. Eligible students may receive help with required tuition, school fees and books. Students may also qualify for the Working Connections childcare subsidy referral through DSHS.

The Opportunity Grant can help low-income students with required tuition cost, school fees and books. Students must be enrolled in an approved professional-technical program of study and meet all the eligibility requirements listed below. If you qualify, you can receive Opportunity Grant funds up to 45 credits, and no longer than 3 years from the initial received date.

The Worker Retraining Grant plays a major role in Washington state’s economic development by providing funding for required tuition cost, school fees, and books for eligible dislocated and unemployed workers in training or retraining that will assist them in gaining employment.
