Opportunity Grant
The Opportunity Grant can help low-income students with required tuition cost, school fees and books. Students must be enrolled in an approved professional-technical program of study and meet all the eligibility requirements listed below. If you qualify, you can receive Opportunity Grant funds up to 45 credits, and no longer than 3 years from the initial received date.
Who can we help?
Anyone meeting the following criteria:
- Washington state resident defined in RCW 28B.15.012. — Residency Information
- Considered low-income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level – see table below

Eligible Pathways
- ELCAP/ESOL, GED/High School Completion, Jumpstart, I-BEST, and Continuing Education.
- Pursuing a degree or certificate in the following pathways:
