2) WES Funding Orientation and Intake

- This is a self-guided presentation for students who have never accessed Highline College’s WES tuition assistance program. We’ll discuss which degrees and certificates we cover, grant eligibility requirements, deadlines, and non-academic support and services we offer.
- Next, we’ll email you a link to complete our online funding intake, and where to upload any supporting documentation that’ll help us to determine your eligibility.
3) ctcLink

- After applying for admissions you’ll receive an email to activate your ctcLink and student email account.
- For 1 on 1 support please contact Entry Advising at (206) 592-3620 / entryadvising@highline.edu
- What is ctcLink? This is an online student portal where you can register for classes, view your grades and tuition balance. You’ll also have access to other personalized web resources that you’ll need to start your schoolwork.
- Why do I need a Highline student email account? To protect our student’s privacy and records, most instructors and departments on campus will send important and confidential messages to your student email.

4) Placement

- The goal of placement is to get you into classes that are best suited for your skills and abilities. Your math (MyMath) and reading (Accuplacer) scores will determine the classes you will begin with.
- Some short-term certificates do not require placement.

6) FAFSA

- There are additional funding resources available on campus. Financial Aid (FA) is another tuition assistance program to help students pay for college.
- Applying for FA is required to receive WES funding. Since we are primarily a ONE quarter, start-up funding we encourage all students to apply for FA to ensure their entire degree and/or certificate is covered.

Workforce Education Services (WES) Quarterly Funding Application Sessions
The Workforce Education Services (WES) and Entry Advising work together to offer quarterly peer assistance sessions.
